Best Time to Visit Corbett Park (Seasons)

 

The best time to visit Jim Corbett National Park is from November to June, when the weather is pleasant and the chances of wildlife sightings are higher. The park is open for tourists from mid-November to mid-June, with the winter months (November to February) offering cool weather and the lush landscape, ideal for wildlife photography and safaris. The summer months (March to June) are also popular as animals gather near water sources, increasing the likelihood of sightings. Monsoon season (July to September) is generally avoided due to heavy rains and the park's closure during this period.

There are three well defined seasons:-

Winter : 

October to March: Days are clear and pleasant; nights are cold. Great time for bird watching and mountain views.

Summer : 

April to June: Hot days with cool nights. Ideal time for sighting animals, especially elephants.

Monsoon : 

July to September: Humid days and pleasant nights. Great time for walks, trekking and rafting on the Kosi river. September is good for observing flora.
